A really productive work morning as we increase the faster work and put heart monitors on some of the string. We have made entries for next week with some horses wanting softer ground and some horses not. Hopefully we can find suitable races for all.
Yesterday it was great to welcome owner Guy Butchers to the yard. Guy is a great supporter of Adlestrop Stables and heads the Zara syndicate who have had fun and success with Mattie Ross. Guy’s family is steeped in racing history and it’s always great to catch up with him.
Delighted to welcome the New Yatt ‘Riding For The Disabled’ association this morning who came for a yard visit. One of our owners Jenny Stowell is a volunteer for the charity and it was great to be able to show them around the stables and gallops and exchange ideas. The RDA do wonderful work and are supported by so many wonderful people.
Pleased to read the news that Stradivarius will stay in training for another season. He obviously has a great constitution and those that know him best will make the right decisions with his career. It will be very interesting to see how he gets on next summer if ground conditions are in his favour, which has not been the case this season. Tempted to say that there is no need to get the violins out yet.
Here is the final part of our horse previews in order to help you make your selections in our Five to Follow Competition which starts on Monday. Details on how to enter are HERE.
