We have entered Picanha in a maiden hurdle at Aintree on Sunday in the hope that ground conditions will suit and looking forward to this promising bumper winner making his debut over hurdles. Great to have plenty of winners to the yard over the weekend as anticipation builds up for the coming season.
Ascot Champions Day was a great finale with some fantastic performances and exciting finishes. Well done to Alan King on Trueshan’s excellent win in the Stayers. Whilst the Haggas team were in flying form and as William would point out, the most vital cog of all, Maureen – sharing the plaudits.
It was great to go to Oxford on Saturday night to see the Red Rum Club play at the Oxford Academy. A Liverpool band named after the great racehorse, their manager is Doctor George Wilson who is a great friend of the yard. Delighted to take some of the staff to support the evening. It was great to be joined by J Francome who once again proved that his mind is as young and active as ever. Highly recommend going to see the band perform if you can.
